Calling all music lovers in Derby! You are invited to join in the
magical musical experience that is the Last Night of the Proms, hosted
by BBC Radio Derby's Andy Potter on Derby Market Place on Saturday 11
September from 4.00pm.
Take your seats for what promises to be a fantastic evening of music
starting off with performances from local bands, all paying homage to
'The Proms', including a vibrant and exciting performance from
Sinfonia ViVA's unique jazz combo, Triple Bop. Plus, expect audience
participation and a dose of 'Cool Britannia' to warm up those voices!
And onto the main event! Audiences will have the opportunity to watch
the entire Last Night of the Proms 2010 screened live on Derby's Big
Screen where Derby will join the audience at the Royal Albert Hall via
a live link. The concert starts at 7.30pm until 10.40pm.
So, prepare for the concert, pack your picnic and join the audience
for this fantastic free outdoor musical event. There is limited
seating available – to guarantee yours then why not bring your own.
There will be refreshments available from various outlets on the day.
