Join WildDerby and partners on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June to help their 24-hour BioBLitz survey of wildlife on Markeaton Park. We need to find all the wildflowers, trees, bugs, birds and bats we can.
There will be a programme of activities organised, such as guided walks, lake dipping, bug hunts, night walks and dawn chorus. You don't need to be an expert to help!
On Sunday 6th June the Springwatch Wild Day Out will take place between 10 am and 5 pm. There will be plenty of wildlife things to do, make and enjoy at this free, WildDerby family fun event.
Over the 24 hours, WildDerby will be helped by many wildlife experts, such as OPAL (The Open Air Laboratories Network), Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Entomological Society (DaNES), Friends of Markeaton Park, University of Derby, National Trust (East Midlands), Natural England and many more.
