Derby Cathedral Clocks

Derby Cathedral tower has been a feature of the Derby skyline since the reign of Henry VIII and was last refurbished in 1964.

The clocks has been given a facelift recently, more than £2,500 was raised to buy new minute dots, Roman numerals, Arabic numbers and clock hands.

Each clock face has now been hand-painted blue, with the numbers and dots made out of 24 carat gold!

Who says that churches are struggling under the economic downturn and the declining in attendance?
